In 1989, Kong felt the call of God in full-time Christian service. Kong had, until then, graduated with a degree in computer science from the National University of Singapore and worked for a publishing company. After several small but successful evangelistic campaigns in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines, Hong Kong instead wanted aitinerant evangelist in support of the churches in Southeast Asia. In April this year, he left the Anglican Church, which he visited since he was a child, and made a staff evangelist with "Christ for Asia, a Singapore-based organizational missions. After leaving his local community, and embarking on a walk of faith in the mission field, a group of young people who previously served Kong rallied around him. They wanted him to be their shepherds, the pastors and to lead. Withthe support and encouragement of many pastors in the city, Kong decided to pioneer a new work, and therefore set aside his desire to minister to a journey. Kong is in Asia as a dynamic speaker known to the mediation of the message of faith in a very relevant and timely.
